Event Description
Expect the unexpected in ArtFacts, a concert of innovative, inspiring, exhilarating dance! Artistic Director Vladimir Conde Reche choreographed two new works, “Farewell at Dawn” and “NLN.” Donna Jewell collaborates with Dr. Regina Carlow and members of the Dolce Suono chorus in a structured improvisation entitled “Frost.” The talents of the students in the vibrant dance program are highlighted in “Martinete,” a rhythmically intricate piece by renowned flamenco master Mercedes Amaya, and “Court Dance,” by award winning choreographer Zoë Knights.Continuing its dedication to re-staging masterworks, the concert includes “Battleworks Etude,” part of American Dance Legacy Initiative’s Repertory Etudes™ Collection, by Robert Battle, the Artistic Director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
