Event Description The SOLAS Brown Bag Speaker series presents Ralph Bolton, Professor of Anthropology at Pomona College, and President and Chairman of the Board of The Chijnaya Foundation, an organization that works in partnership with rural communities in southern Peru to design and implement self-sustaining projects in health, education and economic development. In this talk, Bolton discusses the work of the Foundation in rural villages on the Peruvian Altiplano. The Foundation’s approach to improving the quality of life in this impoverished area is fairly unique, but it builds on the lessons learned during the Vicos and Chijnaya projects. |
