The goal of the symposium is to have residents and fellows engage with the hospital community and leadership to share ideas to improve quality and patient safety at UNMH. This symposium will host content expert lectures, interactive multidisciplinary panels, as well as showcase the ongoing quality improvement and patient safety projects at UNMH.

Objectives: 1. Discuss how patient safety education has evolved over the last 20 years 2. Comparing methods to increase faculty and trainee quality improvement and patient safety projects alignment with hospital quality goals 3. Discuss how to provide quality care in low resource setting 4. Describe on-going quality improvement and patient safety initiatives among other disciplines
